What is a cloud minute?
One minute of your file’s length, processed in full in the cloud. A file uses one minute for every started minute: a 4 min 10 s video uses 5. The free 30-second previews use none, and processing on your own device (“Local”) never uses minutes. New accounts get 3 free cloud minutes when they first sign in.
Do minutes expire?
Yes, 12 months after you buy them. If you have several packs, the minutes that expire first are used first.
What if a cloud job fails?
Its minutes come back to your account by themselves. You can also cancel a file before it starts; its minutes come back too.
Can I get a refund?
Minutes you haven’t used can be refunded within 14 days of buying the pack; used minutes can’t, except for failed jobs, which are returned automatically. For Pro, a monthly payment can be refunded within 14 days if you haven’t used cloud processing since it. Write to support@deerlightlabs.com. Details are in the terms.
How do I cancel Pro?
On your account page, choose “Manage or cancel Pro”. Pro then runs until the end of the month you paid for and is not renewed.
What does “unlimited” mean for Pro?
No minutes are counted against you: process as many of your own files as you like. The first 300 minutes each billing month go in the priority line; after that, files go in the normal line, still ahead of free previews. Files can be up to 60 minutes long, and one file is processed at a time per account. Reselling, bulk or automated use and shared accounts are not allowed (see the terms).
Can I pay with PayPal?
Yes, for the packs. Pro is a monthly subscription and is available only by card (or the other methods Stripe offers).
Do I need an account?
No. Just pay: Stripe or PayPal asks for your email address, and that address becomes your account. You are signed in on that browser right away and get an email with a link to sign in on other devices.
